About us
In late 2016, friends looking and dreaming of a Mardi Gras dance krewe with a heavy emphasis on philanthropy and camaraderie created the Crescent City Fae. A group where all backgrounds are welcomed and encouraged to be themselves while creating a bond through a mutual love and respect for the city of New Orleans and its people.
With a strong connection to all things glittery, nature loving and mystical; the Fae and its components took shape.
We embrace that which is sometimes unseen but felt and heard.
We embrace the magic of New Orleans!
The Fae have several different characters within our realm.
Everything from Pans and Elves to Pixies and Sprites!
What's the difference between a Pixie and a Sprite?
Pixies are mischievous woodland creatures who love a good time and playing tricks on mortals passing by. They are friends with all the forest creatures and keep them safe from harm.
Sprites are elementals. Each Sprite has a tie or calling to a specific element in nature. They are the protectors and representatives of all things their element.
Regardless of each individual's role in our group,
we all keep the elements in our hearts and honor their connection to our great city:
AIR: Reminding us of the sweet sounds of distinctively New Orleans music floating through the air. Surrounding us with warm feelings and togetherness.
FIRE: Burning bright and intense like the passion we have for helping our community and the love we have for our city!
WATER: Rollin' on the river. Our namesake, the mighty Mississippi and the treasures she brings us.
EARTH: Reminding us of a nap under a beautiful oak or a stroll through one of our gorgeous parks. Connecting us to nature and each other. Keeping us grounded and appreciative of the world around us.
